CINDERELLA
AS A
POLE DANCER
cinderella

Evighet, which means Eternity in Swedish, captures the essence of a transformative road trip from Stockholm to Lofoten. During this journey, I encountered clouds unlike I had ever seen before; it felt as if I could reach out and grasp them, living in a moment of eternity. In my artwork, I used cotton glued to tulle to symbolize these ethereal clouds, while the blue box represents the air and the green paper depicts the mountains. This collage merges two pictures, embodying the pursuit of eternity and its reformation within our ever-changing reality.

When the prince brings Cinderella the glass slipper, she transforms into a princess.

This approach to the classic folk tale of Cinderella, reinterprets the story's iconic symbol—the glass slipper. In this version, Cinderella is no longer a helpless, impoverished girl passively waiting for a prince to change her destiny. Instead, she is reimagined as a strong, self-assured woman who wears her own shoes with confidence and dances freely, pursuing fulfillment on her own terms.

The Man and The Moth

Once upon a time, there was a man who loved his clothes more than anything else. He loved their texture, their softness, their colours and their fabrics. For him, every part of his clothing was a form of art.

One day, a tiny moth fluttered into his home, drawn by the vibrant fabrics that adorned the man’s wardrobe. It feasted on the man’s beloved garments, reducing them to mere threads.

There was nothing left.

Minne.jpg

Minne means memory in Swedish.

Memory is never exactly the same. It changes every time we remember something. With each recollection, we may change, add, remove or reshape parts of what happened.

In this series, I created letters using play dough. The soft and changeable material represents the formability of memory— how easily a memory can be shaped and reshaped over time.

I photographed the letters against a reflective foil background. The reflections distort the images and create an illusion, representing the way our minds can distort and alter our memories.

The work explores the fragile and changing nature of memory: what we remember is not always what actually happened.

Pink Elefant

In the middle of everything we are supposed to do and supposed to be, there sits a pink elefant

No one sees it
